Post Is Kenya still a colonized country?

With the winning of the new elect president Barack Obama it raised a lot of issues on the independence of Kenya from super power countries. Kenya had a chance to bring changes in there government which they didn't or did according to the opinion of various people. Kenya right now is like a wounded lion due to the tribal war followed by the recession on the economy. The country economy is getting worse as time goes by and living cost are going up while the pay remains the same.

The whole idea of having a holiday to celebrate Obama's victory was not a wise decision for such a country. All that work and production of the country was wasted over another country's democracy. I agree Obama is a Kenyan son but that doesn't mean stopping a country development, U.S.A itself didn't take a day off they were excited but this a nation that knows that the journey for them just started and they need to work harder than before in order to get to the nation of there dreams.

As for Kenya he may be a son of your land but it doesn't change you have your country to build. Speculations are going around that it is going to be easier to obtain America visas easily but the hard truth is, it is going to get complicated than before so embrace yourselves. The only thing that is going to change is that your diplomatic relations may improve and that is far as it is going to get.

Obama is a president with a duty who will take an oath of allegiance to his country and people that means rules will apply to everyone equally with no exception of family members or country of origin.

Default Obama's win

Wewe wacha siasa!! Obama's win is huge!!
Taking a day off work in celebrating Obama's victory was awise choice for Kenyans. I watched the Kenyan comedians saying that Kenya is currently exporting presidents through out the world starting with the US.

If you are current with international politics, you should know some of the most successful Kenyansd around the World. Just to Reming you

1. Barack Obama Son of Nyanza------ 44th and the first American-Kenyan president of the US.

2. Moses Otieno---- Harvard Law School professor

3. Ochieng Odinga ---- UK westminster Member of Congress.

4. Opiyo Thuol Domnick -- Russian MP and soon to be president of Russia
5. Onyango Owiti ----- French High Court Judge with alot of political ambitions. Soon to be french president before Obama finishes his second term.
6. And many more brilliant Kenyas.

This means that, Kenyans will nolonger need visas to travel around the world, infact in February, Kenyans will acquire American passports for free. Ama vipi?

I still can't believe we wasted a whole working day to celebrate Obama's election. Taking a 8 hour work day that was 28,800 seconds wasted never to be regained again - taking that we are a country set to be an industrialized and fully developed country by the year 2030. We now must add one more day to the year 2030.

Meanwhile in that same day, the American nation and it's citizens kept on working for the whole 24 hours - that was 16 more hours they worked on top of the 8 hours that we decided to waste.

Is this just not enough to wake us up?
Unless we wake up from this deep sleep, we still have a long way to go...

Wink

All that is consolations, i'd love to agree with you on that but it is impossible. Yes there were Kenyan citizen but they already acquired foreign countries residency or even furthe citizenship so there are just "lost african sons".
