You Can Help Stop Political Violence

We have a ton of violence in our politics here. Most Kenyans won't stand up against it other than to fight for one side or another. If both sides condone this type of behavior it is time to create a third side and take control of the destiny of our country. Violence helps neither winner nor looser, official or citizen. We the people have to stand up and let them know that we want nothing, and I mean nothing to do with those who choose the violent way to accomplish something.
The sad thing is we will probably have to fight ourselves to make this point clear and I don't have a solution to this problem. If anyone does please speak up and make yourself heard. Because our children deserve better than we have given them.

I wish all the people were like peaceful and if allowed to say act matually towards a situation as you are. All we need is calculative people to see the aftermath of their actions before doing it.

You might be wrong or right but there is a solution.

Actually it's a twin solution. First, we the people and the government must work together to eradicate poverty. As you may very well know there is a whole line of issues and problems that are born forth as a result of poverty key among them crime, health issues and a plethora of other in balances.

Secondly, the education system must be reformed to perform the common good of every citizen. It will be hard to achieve true democracy if a nations' citizens is comprised of high numbers of Illiteracy and ignorance. You know what the politician would do in such a situation.

I'm sure other members have more unique and different opinions.

Those are very good suggestions by Joseph. However, we must remove the tribalistic tendencies of kenyans which was the cause of the last political violence. We must treat people equally and not exercise favoritism because he belongs to your tribe.

The last spate of violence that gripped Kenya is just absurd. Kenyans must stop thinking of themselves as Kikuyus, Luhyas or Luos but as Kenyans. The Americans do not think of themselves as Texans, New Yorkers or Californians.
