Paul Allenís book is set to hit the stores next week and has since seen some controversy from critics over some negative portrayal of Microsoft co-founder, Bill Gates. Paul Allen has stated that his book is not revenge on Bill Gates and that it is meant to show how what happened in the development of the company since it is an important piece of technology history.
He has however not discussed with Bill Gates about the contents of the book and expects the discussion to be a heated one.
In some sections highlighted by Vanity Fair and The Wall Street, Allen claims that Bill Gates wanted to take ownership stakes by Allen. He also explains how Bill Gates split up ownership of the company, giving himself almost two thirds and Billís colluding with the then hired Steve Ballmer who is now the CEO of Microsoft and diluted Allenís stake at the time when he was battling with cancer.
