Colossians 4:17;
The charges the minister of the Gospel will give:“And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou have received in the name of Lord, that thou fulfil it.”
Keep a clear vision. Frequently revisit the vision, keeping clear and fresh in your heart. Stay faithful to the original call of God for your life and ministry. Remember that your calling is your anointing and God will give you supernatural anointing for what He has called to do.
Keep a clear conscience. Here is a promise- it is not a precious promise, but it is a promise nonetheless. In a ministry someone is going to hurt you and unkind words will be spoken against you. Do not allow yourself to become embittered by people. Never respond to an attack against you with an attack of your own but keep conscience before God and before people.
Keep a firm commitment to scripture. At your highest or lowest difficult time, it is God’s promises that will sustain you.
Keep under the control of the Holy Spirit. Allow God to do what only He can do.
Continue through conflicts. Conflict in ministry is inevitable since you are commissioned to displace the status quot with the kingdom of God.
Keep consecrated to the Captain. Before Joshua was given the honor of leading God’s army into battle, he had to settle once and for all that God’s army has only one captain-and Joshua was not that captain.(Joshua 5:13-15).
Keep a consuming love with Jesus. How do you remain faithful in the ministry? How do you keep from becoming ministry casualty? The best answer I can give you is to keep freshly falling in love with Jesus every day. Love Him more by nightfall than you did this morning. And love Him tomorrow morning than you do when you go to sleep tonight. Finally, stay close to Jesus and to the great commission.
