When People Live In Peace Who should you marry as a Christian or what kind of person would you prefer to stay close to and with? It is quite unfortunate that women are regarded as people who mostly cause chaos in families. Men tend to blame women maybe because they are known to talk much, and this much is what causes problems.
It is joy when people live in serene. This pleases even God for He is a God of love, peace and harmony. Where love prevails happiness dwells there; no conflicts or complains about unethical acts. (Psalms 133:1)
The bible says that a prudent wife comes from the Lord. She builds her home but the foolish tears it down with her own hands (Proverbs 14:1). She will advice and encourage her husband in managing the home and resources. She will not let out family secrets to a third party or even gossip her husband with other women. A wise woman will welcome her husband home warmly and prepare him good food for his health. This will motivate the husband and reinforce the love more. She is always ready to solve any arising conflict and that is how understanding comes.
But then a question to be pondered is what or who causes drama in a home. A fornicator spouse can cause a great stir in the family. As well, men do not like nagging women, women who keep on complaining about almost everything and who doubt their husbands. This may lead to lose of peace, and may even tempt the husband to go for an extramarital affair. Living poor but in peace is far much better and healthy than living with someone with whom you cannot come into terms easily in case of a problem. (Proverbs 5:15-19, 21:9)
Many families live in stress because of lack of co-operation and frequent quarrels. They depict a bad picture to their children and even the community at large. Such families ignore the will of God of living harmoniously. Educating the children and catering for most of their basic needs becomes a problem for parents cannot share minds on how to source for the same. This normally leaves one parent straining to make ends meet while the other becomes ignorant and careless.
A man is supposed to take good care of his family and to face every challenge with bravery, to show himself a man. This gives his family an assurance of security. When parents work together they set a good example of responsibility and respect to their children, who will learn how to handle their families in future.
Peace is what Jesus left us with. For the work of the Lord to come into accomplishment, we must let peace prevail. This will happen if only people considered the will of God. Hearkening to the creeds of God will help us to live righteously. Praying together as a family and reading the word of God enhances love and peace. A family that lives in peace has many visitors, for these are assured that there is love and harmony, and that they can at least learn something from them, but a family that lives with conflicts as part of them poses fear to outsiders to visit.
In Romans 12:16 we are urged to live in harmony with other people, avoid haughtiness, and be humbled and simple, not to act the wiser we aren’t.
Living together peacefully as family depicts the happiness and joy that we shall have in heaven with our brethren. It reflects the family of God and that is the will of God to live in peace. A united family never holds grudges or avenges ill for ill. Learn to settle simple matters with your partner and you shall be able to carry on even to your marriage.
Compatibility wins peace and if this is not realised in the earlier stages then you better chuck yourself out of that relationship for it is a mirror to what will happen when you make a family.
