It’s Not How You Start That Matters But How You End

Ministry is a marathon, we often hear of celebrity pastors whose stars flame bright for a few years and then fizzle out. It’s easy to make an impression start, but what matters is how do you make it to an end?

The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 13:8;

“Love never fails.”

If you minister out of love, you can never be considered a failure and praised be the greatness of God who loves to see all His servants doing well in their ministries.

People start well but fail to finish what they started so well. They become faint hearted and backslide. We should acknowledge that pastors, the Pope, Bishops, Fathers and even church Elders are human beings. They are prone to temptations just the way we are. In fact if these leaders backslide Satan becomes very happy as this will cause turbulence in people's faith.

Brothers and sisters beware that the journey is long, the gate is narrow and the road hard that leads to life but don't be weary. Only those few who will persevere and follow it till the end will get the reward.

Satan’s trials are many, and when one lacks faith in God it is easier to fall back, though that way we are given a next chance to repent as God is always ready to restore us back to his arms, therefore those who used to be good Christians if you fail do not despair, get to your knees and with sincerity of the heart seek forgives, and you will see God uplifting you once again.

You can start at a good pace but when you are almost finishing you fail, actually people will regard you as a failure, and the way you start will have no impact at all. We should always focus on the destiny in everything we do because that is the one that will account more in our lives. Imagine a situation where one who scored lowly in examinations manages to struggle and become a successful in life. He will be regarded more intelligent than one who scored highly in examinations but end up failing in life. So mind of your destiny more than the starting point.
