Default The Church and Drug Abuse

Drugs and their abuse is the rage today, though many organizations have made efforts to ban them still their hard work has not yielded fruits.

Among those fighting against drug abuse is the church, this where very many youths who are on the effect do not attend, but the church itself has joined hands with the entire bodies to fight drugs and their abuse.

The church through campaigning, performing concerts on the effect of drugs, and holding of seminars has really boosted their efforts to fight the same.

Do you think through prayers the church can too see this succeed? What do you and your church do to fight drugs and drug abuse?

There should be youth seminars to educate the youth on how to help the drug/alcohol addicts. There should be a programme for counseling youths.

The drug packs themselves have labels warning against using them because they are harmful to health. People are ignorant and some even use bible quotes to support their wickedness that Jesus turned water into wine and that a little bit for the stomach’s sake is not bad. They forget that their bodies are God’s temples where the Holy Spirit, who is our guider, dwells. Of course God created all these and put them under our dominion but He assigned Adam what should be eaten and what shouldn’t be.

Anything that makes your normal or sober functioning of the body is unclean for you. We need to live clean just like our father is clean and holy. Some realize and accept the bitter truth when their health is already wrecked and this is the time they turn to God. They give God the last priority when their efforts cease to yield best. Prayers can change the world but unless we have the desire and a positive mind towards changing for the better, we cannot overcome this catastrophe.
