If Only Water Could Reflect Our Hearts!

The water reflects our outward appearance, but our outward appearance is only a small part of who we are. Our hearts reveals who we truly are, what we believe, what we value, our morals, our attitude, our desires and our goals.

To know someone, you must examine the person’s heart; to do that you must spend time with him/her. Those whose eyes are ever toward the Lord, are satisfied in him and shall for ever be so.

As we know, silver and gold are tried by putting them into the furnace and fining-pot; so is a man tried by praising him. Some are so bad, that even severe methods do not answer the end; what remains but that they should be rejected?

We have to understand that, the new-creating power of God's grace alone is able to make a change. We ought to have some business to do in this world, and not to live in idleness, and not to meddle with what we do not understand.

We must be diligent and take pains. Let us do what we can, still the world cannot be secured to us, therefore we must choose a more lasting portion; but by the blessing of God upon our honest labors, we may expect to enjoy as much of earthly blessings as is good for us.

In proverbs 21:19;

“As the water reflects the face, so the heart reflects the person”.

Water reflects the outer character but inner reflection is done by the heart, God above is not like water his has a complete reflection of us, the inner one and too our outer character, before him we cannot hide anything but before man you can hide both your characters as he has no ability to detect, symbolically referred to water.

Having wicked hearts and acting holy from the outside before men is like washing a cup from the outer only while the inside is dirty or a grave which is beautifully painted and flowered from outside but inside are bones of the dead! We therefore should remember that there s one who looks at the heat and not what we depict to men. God needs our souls. Our outer should reflect our inner.
