Sin Is Dangerous

God is our creator who created all things by saying a word

“let it be,”

and it was done, but when it reached time to create man, He did it in a special way. He used his own hand by taking soil and modeled man out of it in His own image and then breathed him life. He gave Adam an opportunity to name all creatures-both living on earth and those living in water. When Adam had finished this, he felt lonely. God made Adam to fall asleep deeply. He removed one of the ribs from Adam. He used that rib to create a woman that is Eve. Eve was then brought to Adam as a helper. This implies that God was the first psychologist.

God put them in the Garden of Eden to work and take care of it. He instructed them not to eat the fruits of the forbidden tree but unfortunately they disobeyed this. As God was walking around the garden probably visiting them, they heard His voice and they hid. When asked what was happening, Adam said the woman you put here with me gave me the forbidden fruit to eat while the woman said the serpent deceived me. They never accepted their sin instead they gave an excuse. How many times we Christians find ourselves in mistakes and instead of realizing these mistakes and asking for forgiveness we start giving lame excuses? Remember God is not interested about our excuses but wants us to accept our mistakes and repent.

Through Adam’s and Eve’s sin, there are three things which I see being fulfilled daily according to the Bible. They are:

1. Two opposite sex meet and form something known as foetus in the female’s womb. What surprises me most is how women scream in pain when the foetus knows that its time is over and it can’t stay any longer in the womb.

2. Man has no option other than to work tirelessly. Man has to sweat while working working in order to fulfill the family's basic needs.

3. It has to occur and there is no option available to prevent it from occurring. It doesn’t know the rich or poor, wise or foolish, old or young, educated or uneducated etc. Yes, the soul has to return to the creator when that time comes. What was to happen if our God was to reveal to us the day of our death as He did to Hezekiah?

Before that time reaches, work each day to give your best as if it is your last day on earth.

Sin always gives dangerous repercussions. As a result of sin, man lost his eternal life and nature was cursed with his fall. God's creatures that must show righteousness and love since God is just and righteous!

Obedience to the will of God leads to eternal life but the opposite is sin and its resulting end is peril. We have chances to repent and be forgiven before the day of judgement and that is what we need to make use of in trying to straighten our paths. Sin displeases God for it violates His purpose for us.

Sin is total disobedience against God. Like they say whenever there is an action the reaction is equal and opposite. When man was tempted to eat the forbidden fruit he was promised heaven on earth which was the exact opposite. People perish due to lack of obedience, man disobeyed God at the Garden of Eden and the result was dead.

Sin is that dangerous for it did create a boundary between God and man thus much suffering to the world for man had to labor for food which he used to get freely. Sin did also bring death to man's race but following God's love to us, He did come up with a plan to restore the relationship between Him and us, he sent His only begotten Son to die for our redemption. We therefore need to avoid sin at all cost if we seek to see and inherit His eternal Kingdom.
