    Default Working towards Our Destiny

Where there is life there must be work in progress. Each day unfolds with its activities as planned by various people. God as well has preordained tasks which are accomplished by his people daily through His power. When we wake up daily with plans of doing some job we obviously expect a good harvest ahead. When we begin a journey we look forward into reaching our destiny. Without hard work one cannot reap enough; those who have nothing to do have nothing as well to eat.

God has given us various talents according to our purposes. We are required to trade with them so that we bring food to His storehouse. Our pay awaits us for each will be paid according to the work done. On the day of judgement we shall all be accountable of our deeds. God will demand the profit we made from the gifts He gave us. It is a day in which our destiny will be determined.

Whatever we do on earth, we should bear in mind that we shall harvest in due time, when we reach our destiny. Our actions determine our destiny; righteousness will grant us life while the unrighteousness’ will be peril. We are given the free will to choose what we feel is best for us; we have all the authority to get whatever we want as long as we work towards the same.

    Ephesians 6:7

Render service with enthusiasm, as to the Lord and not to men and women, knowing that whatever good we do, we will receive the same again from the Lord, whether we are slaves or free.
We need to do the will of God with all our hearts and minds so that we reap life eternally. Straying from God’s presence will render us Satan’s agents and we shall all die forever. It is therefore a call that just like a farmer ploughs and sows his field with the hope of harvesting good in season, we should do what is good with industry so that we receive that crown set aside for the conquerors.

Those who do wickedness as stealing, killing, gossiping, bewitching and such like should do it with all their might and full time so that they get the gain of their sweat. Those who do the will of God should do it submissively and should be assured of a pleasant token from their God.

    Colossians 3:23-24

Whatever your task, put yourselves into it, as done for the Lord and not for your masters, since you know that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward; you serve the Lord Christ. For the wrongdoer will be paid back for whatever wrong has been done, and there is no partiality.
Remember when a person dies he ceases working for in the graves there is no work to do there. It is therefore important that we put it right for ourselves by doing good while alive and strong. It is useless to live long and die a loser by being sinful for that is automated peril unless we repent.

    Ecclesiastes 9:10

Whatever your hand finds to do, do with your might; for there is no work or thought or knowledge or wisdom in Sheol, to which you are going.

The chain of destiny is too long and can only be gasped one at a time, I agree with the fact that we should all wok. In whatever we do let’s see to it that the son of God is glorified because the time to reap what we have been sowing here on earth is coming soon. It is my sincere wish that all of us work whole heartedly in our different field of specialization so as to bring a plentiful harvest into the house of God.
