If all religions are same, why are we so particular on our own?

I have always found it really ironical as to when a mother teaches a child that all religions are equal and there is really just one God, no matter how many names we take. But then, she becomes very particular of her own religion's customs and norms. What are your views on it?

There is nothing like that, when mother teaches you that all religions are same, what she trying to teach you is to respect all relgions. One has to have faith in one particular religion and when you follow some religion you have to abide by certain norms. This is a normal thing and there is nothing wrong in being religious.

You guys you must be playing, unless you go to church and sleep throughout the sermon or go for other ultra hidden reasons like to hook up with someone, then allow me to tell you - all religions are different and most if not all have certain beliefs and customs that are as different as water and oil.

I do know that there is one God, one Son, one Baptism and one Holy Spirit.

It is still surprising that we all read the same Bible and the same word of God and then we all have different interpretations. What is even more amazing is to see the same people who have been worshiping together under the same church suddenly disagree and result to separate and start different churches.

The simple truth is that we deviate from the true teaching of the word of God and become so blinded that we then let our selfish ambitions and greed to take over so much we end up having so many religions and factions all in the name of worshiping the same God. How wrong and disappointed a lot of us will be, but as they say it would be too late by then.

I think the base thing of all religion is same. but they way is different. The system is completely different. that differs us. some how you can't maintain all religous system in a same time. so our parents teached us a specific religion. But it is upto you what do you think. if you think anyother way for praying god is better. then you could follow it no one will stop you. this is just my opinion.
