Default How do You Give Thanks And Offerings To God?

As Christians it is good for us to give offerings to our Father to thank him for the gift of life and everything we possess. When giving we should be free from our hearts in order to receive more blessings.

    II Corinthians 8:12
"For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not."
Now does God expect someone who is on a very meager income, maybe nothing more than just a little social security check, to give all that to ministry or some church? No way. More than once I've had to write to someone and tell them, "Now listen, if you're on a meager income I don't expect a dime." Now that's between them and God, and if they feel that God is still instructing them to give some then that's fine. But I never want someone on a meager income to feel obligated to support this ministry. Other ministries may not care, but I don't want it on this one. But here God is making it so clear that giving is based on that ability to give.

Giving thanks to God can be done through Praises,Prayers when you tell God that He is The Alpha and the Omega,He is the one that forgives us all our sins; you have to thank Him in praises and worship. Giving the ten percent of what we earn is also one way of thanking God in church. God needs a true and righteous giver for Him also to bless!
It is true that gifts for best friends express friendship thoughts and emotions.

Offering is one major way of thanking the giver of life and all. We offer grain harvest, animal produce and monetary sacrifices. Worshipping and honouring God is another way of worshipping Him and thanking Him for the grace He has for us. We should also help the needy for that way we open way for more blessings and thank God the more.

It doesn't mean that having more than enough is the situation in which we should thank God; each day, every second we need to thank Him for every state we are in and offer our hearts to Him as well as a live sacrifice.

Giving offerings to the church is a duty to us from God for these offerings are used by the church leaders to support church projects such as helping the needy in society and sending relief food to hunger stricken regions. It is also a way of thanking God for His providence to us, so it should not be seen as a burden, always have something to give to God .

I agree. It is a duty and we should embrace that. We have seen an example of Ananias and his wife who died immediately after returning to God a lesser amount. That’s why no matter how small the income is, we should give back. Besides, God blesses those who give. So how do you expect to get if you can’t give?

I even remember the example of the old woman who gave only two coins in the bible and Jesus pointed her out as the one who had given her whole.

If we are not giving God thanks always, we must conclude either that we are backslidden or not true Christians. Consider the story of Israel. God delivered them from Egyptian bondage, yet we are told that they were filled with a grumbling spirit. Ten times they murmured against their Redeemer, and we are warned not to repeat their ungrateful practices. Thanksgiving to God proves that you are an authentic Christian, filled with the Holy Ghost.
