The Power Of Prayer

The furthermost and most momentous aspect of Christian living is praying .Prayer is a form of life with God. It’s not restricted to the moment of verbal statements but it aims at being the link between other people and God.

Prayer is a form of worship and should therefore be done in truth and in spirit as John 4:24 says;

“God is Spirit, and those who worship him must worship Him in Spirit and truth”.

In our prayers therefore, the intrinsic attitude is very important hence we don’t pray to be seen but pray for what is crucial.

To pray is to fellowship with God. Prayer time is also the time of humility and it shows dependence of God since without Him, there is nothing we can do.

John 15:56 says;

“For without Me you can do nothing”

Then Christians have the responsibility to commit everything to God and when we pray we invite the Holy Spirit in our midst.

In our prayer, we recognize that God is Almighty and He is also faithful to us and that He always fulfills His promises to us.

Prayers are very essential in our life and there is nothing we can do and succeed without involving God even when we are in trouble the power of God is needed to help us. When Jesus was about to be crucified he prayed God to remove the cup from him but he said not of his will but God's will to be done.

Prayer unlocks closed doors, breaks all forms. It razes all forms of evil plots and clears stumbling blocks on our paths ways. Prayer releases blessings from heaven through faith in Jesus’ name and leads to the final breakthrough. Through prayer we are able to get or gifts/talents revealed unto us by the Holy Spirit so that we trade with them even to the return of Christ. We should be spiritually connected to God via prayer for it is the prime way of communicating to god the father.

It is through prayers that we are granted our wishes and as Christians we are encouraged to pray regularly so that we may not fall into temptations. When Jesus Christ was in this world, He was tempted but since He had persisted in prayers He was able to overcome those temptations. This also applies to us, if we want to conquer the devil we should always dwell in prayers and if we want to see the kingdom of God then we have to pray genuinely .
