Default What is the importance of Christian prayer

    What defines Christian prayer?

As we all know prayer, by definition, is how we communicate with God, our creator and the sustainer of all things. Asking for God's help is one way that we use prayer to communicate to God. We also prayer to give Him thanks for the blessings he bestows upon us. Yet another form prayer can take is, simple conversation about our daily lives to our Creator in the same manner we talk to our friends.

    • What is the importance of Christian prayer?

If we have faith in the One who created us and believe that He wants to be close to us, then the question is "how is a Christian prayer important?"

Believers consider Christian prayer to be a genuine conversation with God and that He wants us to be close to Him through fellowship. Maybe we should think of prayer just like we think of talking to our spouses, family and close friends. It's true that it is important to communicate regularly with our spouses, family and friends. Without talking every day, we do not expect relationships to developed or grow rather the opposite may occur and soon or later we may find that with time we have grown apart and gone separate ways.

In any relationship, if we make a point of communicating on a daily basis, it is easier to develop a closer relationship with that person. If we converse with God every day, won't we grow a little closer to Him each day? Can we expect to get closer to God if we neglect our daily conversations with Him? Regardless of all of our 'holy' pursuits - studying books of spiritual relevance, performing good deeds and attending church services - how can we grow close to God while neglecting our daily talks with him through prayer?

The importance of Christian prayer is infinite
My life is much easier when I pray every day and make a place for God in every aspect of my life. When I neglect my special daily time with God, especially conversing with Him, there is a decidedly different outcome in my daily life.

    • Do you talk to God every day?

Prayer is your method of communication with the Creator of All Things. God really does desire to listen to you and give you an answer to your prayers. Prayer time is part of every day special time spent with God regardless of what else may be happening? It is wonderful if you are already spending time with your Creator thorough prayer. If you aren't, I give you the challenge to make it part of your regular routine. There will be a difference right-away in the way you see everything and in how you react to the world surrounding you. Things do change with prayer.

The question for you today is straight and simple; how important is Christian prayer to you?

It is true that prayer is the only way we talk with God. It is the only way of making my requests known to Him. Through praying, I praise and thank Him for what He has done. Prayer brings me closer to God. It is a way of having fellowship with Him. Of all these, it is through it that I fight the battle of spiritual forces of evil.

Ephesians 6:12 For our-struggle is not against enemies of blood and flesh, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

    Default The Importance of Prayers

Prayer are a form through which Christians communicate with God, they are not meant for the those considered righteous only, or church goers and or even someone perfect in live, prayers are meant for all, whether believers or non believers.

Prayers act very crucial roles in our lives.

Prayers draw us nearer to God; before marriages are done , those planning to marry each other are give time to pray in order to understand each other well, of their characters and exactly who he are, similarly Christians should pray, if we do not pray how can we then know God? For us to lead an intimacy life with God we need to pray.

Prayers are a tool binding the powers of darkness; for every word we utter in prayers, contain wonder working powers.

Ephesians 6:12 says, for we are not contending against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

This shows that the devil is at work to destroy our relationship with god, and hence when tempted to sin we should pray as prayers give us the power, strength, and faith to accomplish our worldly mission.

Prayers change you; as one’s character can be influenced by the company he has, similar do prayers act, one’s character can be a positive or negative one depending on the type of people he spends time with, those who pray to God always shine and have a nature resembling God’s, they portray a changed lifestyle, in them there is no selfishness, but have love for others.

Prayers set captives free; we pray for others who are in the bondage of sins for them to be set free, and also pray for our daily life breakthroughs, for God to set us free from Satan.

Prayers do heal; Jesus healed during his worldly mission, when he departed he had left his disciples with the authority to heal, we should also pray for our emotional, spiritual, and physical healing and for those around us.

How often do you commit yourself in prayers?

The more you engage yourself in prayer, the closer you get to God. Prayer is even more important than reading the scriptures. I could say it beats all forms of worshiping God. It is a mode of communication with God. It is through prayer that we express our feelings to God, it is through prayer that we meditate and have a conversation with God.
