Daniel was chosen to be a prime minister by king Darius because he had much confidence in him but other people were jealous and wanted to kill him. Daniel’s heart became heavy with a deeper concern; for what would happen to his people?
There would be an evil power that would attack God’s people and to destroy the sanctuary before God would establish His kingdom. He hoped that the temple and Jerusalem was going to be built but he was disappointed after the vision.
He went to his room and started praying three times a day while opens a scroll to the prophecy of Jeremiah. Daniel was praying what God had already promised and was worrying about the future of his people that God had also decided for them.
Should we pray for something God had promised and worry about the future?
