A state news agency Xinhua has reported that satellite broadcasters in China have cut entertainment TV by two-thirds as a result of the government campaign to curb excessive entertainment.

A watchdog has reported that the number of entertainment shows aired during prime time in a week as dropped from 126 to 38.
