Rumors are spreading that Manchester United’s signing of the Japan playermaker Shinji Kagawa is all about shirt sales.

The United’s commercial director Richard Arnold dismissed the claims saying that Man Utd does not sign players for shirt sales following that the club relies on 25 players all who are massive stars. The club has 25 George Clooneys and not individual players to boost the club’s profitability.

Kagawa will move from Bundesliga champions Borussia Dortmund to Old Trafford at a cost of €15 million that is speculated to raise €22 million with add-ons.
