Default Is Spending On Your Child An Expense Or Investment?

When a child is born it means more needs hence more money. As the child grows the cost of his/her living increases for with time schooling will begin up to college level and even more. As a parent you should be responsible for all the needs of your child.

Do you feel it is a pinch or rather a waste to spend so much on a child’s upkeep? Does it seem an expense or investment for you since the child is growing up and will help you in your old age?

Many illiterate people perceive that spending on their children is an expense but for those who know it are happy because it is an investment. If we just take it practically those people who spend a lot on their children gain a lot in the future when they have been retrenched. So it is good to spend now and enjoy.

Spending on your child can be an expense if only the child is not utilizing the opportunities given to him/her positively, it can be an investment when the child has shown his/her ability and being responsible in life.

Anyone with children can tell you that child care is expensive — really expensive. But for those who have or are planning to start saving for the purpose of using it to pay for a child’s future expenses, you can continue to fund since this sounds as an investment and not an expense. Keep in mind that plans are investments vehicles and, as with any investment, you need to consider the investment’s objectives, risks, costs, and tax consequences before investing or implementing a specific investment strategy. Let your child be an investment through your intelligent plans and not an expense!
