Cool A woman's most prized possession

I would love to know how you guys feel about how Black women wear their hair. Let me first talk about my own hair. My hair is of a curly texture that goes past my shoulders, but it is thinner than I would like. I LOVE to wear weaves, braids and ponytails because I hate to spend lots of time doing my hair, and they are quick fixes that are so convenient and stylish. I have come across men who despise weave, as well as men who don't have a problem with weave as long as it looks good.

The men who despised weaves said it was because they feel like women that wear weave can't grow their own hair, and felt like we should be confident in ourselves without "hiding" behind weave. I had a friend of mine that stopped wearing weaves because the man she was seeing ridiculed her anytime she wore it. My boyfriend told me that his ex-girfriend's real hair remained a mystery to him the entire 8 YEARS they were together because she constantly wore extensions.

What a lot of these men don't realize is that one of our goals as women is to look good, not only for ourselves, but for them as well. I'm grateful to have a man who complements my hair when I'm wearing weave and even when I'm not. So do the majority of men really care if it's a weave or not? And do women prefer a weave or to be au natural? Is it an enhancement to the beauty we already have, or is it a remedy for an insecurity we may have about ourselves?

Hey if you going to put a weave put in the right way, I personally don't have a problem with ladies who put weaves as long as they look good. Some put some of those weaves under their unkempt hair which it shows on the edges of the weaves.
Some ladies put all these different colors and lets say some of these colors don't match their skin complexion. Some don't clean their weaves and especially in clubs after all the dancing when they sweat the weaves stinking smell lingers on the air.
But thinking about it they are some ladies whose weaves are off the chain and they look super nice. But that doesn't mean you should wear a weave for your entire lifetime.

I love my Girl looking good and if it takes that weave to make her look good, then girl - put it on. Of course there are some style that I have complete distaste for, I will let her know my reasons for not liking them but it will be her choice.

Now notice I use the word "good" not beautiful because to me beauty is not just about looks and the hair style or legs and...yes they play a role but that is not a finality other aspects like common interests, compatibility and common goals will have a bigger role to play more than the look or style of the hair weave.

The problem is women who wear the same weave and don’t take care of. Nothing wrong wearing a weave as long as it is taken care of well.

My hair is kink black, silky and long and sometimes people confuse with a weave. I love letting it hang freely and relaxed but I at times opt for a weave when it is rainy. It depends on the hair you put on for there are some which are age selective, they make a young lady look like an old woman.

Wearing weave need one who is committed to it and not leaving it to look even uglier on your head, take your time and work on it.Again seek to find one that blends with you not any that will disgust every one around.

I don't see any problem with wearing weaves to black women; they really look stunning in it but it all depends who wears it and how it puts her! I have seen women of all races wear weaves, whether to lengthen or provide a more thick appearance to their hair; I know many black women who have never worn weaves, and I am one of them. I didn't know how weaves "worked" until my time in high learning level!

Just as many may quote about those who wear them, it doesn't mean that they have no hair at all but it's because some have black hair which usually doesn't grow very fast and it is typically pretty nappy and hard to manage! So, there are a lot of reasons that black women may choose to wear weaves, but if you look around, you will notice that not all wear weaves have nappy hair and some have long hair and really pretty black, but since they prefer to have short hair outlook, they choose to wear short weaves instead! It all depends on the individual's taste of hair she may want on her head!
It is true that gifts for best friends express friendship thoughts and emotions.
