It is very important to invest for your kids, for instance opening savings accounts for them, so that you keep saving some little amounts in each ones account until the time they are able to take up the responsibility themselves. This teaches them on wise saving and investment as well. Children who don't get education for parents and examples on investing find it a problem to start or even manage the same. When investing for them it is important that you write a will on each asset so that it brings not conflicts in future and in your absence.

Should we put more focus in material investments for them or educating them as the major investment?

Having our children's future secured is every parent's dream. Due to hard economy times saving for them turns out to be a big deal, it is advisable to invest for the children because this will assure them of a secure future. When investing for the children it is advisable to write a will because you can never predict tomorrow, this will ensure that they don't fight over the wealth as it will be clearly stated who will posses what.

Investing for one’s child is always satisfying for the parent and it’s always good for the kid when he/she grows up. I prefer educational investment compared to material investments but if you are able and have the resources, why not invest in both?

Talk of a middle class parent or reluctance of kids to work hard since they know that they already own one or two

Investing for and in are different cases. Investing in them is where education comes in because this way you are assured of their better future with good education. This will secure them a good job and income, and even some basic skills for self employment if at all they are for it.

I feel that education notwithstanding, material investment works best with a disciplined and responsible lot…

The best investment is education. Invest in your kid’s education. This will enable them do many other things in life. Imagine leaving your kids who are grown up but not educated with all the properties and huge sums of money in a bank. It will turn out to be the story of, “a fool and his riches/money.”

investigating for our kids is very important, parents are viewed as role models but again we have negative and positive role models.kids do what parents do, many are times when you hear kids blaming the miserable life they live on their parents. while education is the best investment, financial investment is vital because after all educations purpose is for brighter tomorrow financially.financial investment teaches kids about saving, perseverance/endurance while education focuses on decision making.
