How efficient is solar water heater?

Hi guys, I just want to know that how much savings can you get from solar water heater? Tell me your annual saving in percentage. I don't know how solar companies can guarantee the benefits of investing solar panels.

I personally don't use a solar heater but I'm certain that using it has more merits as compared to other source of heat including charcoal. First and foremost, solar energy is a renewable source following that it is naturally available. With solar energy, there no monthly bill to be incurred thus one will save a huge percentage with the solar water heater.

Solar is naturally and directly derived from the sun and so is more economical than any other form especially electricity which needs transformation to heat energy. I may not be able to approximate how much savings per annum since I don't use a solar panel but then I believe it is relatively easier that way.

I think solar water heater is the way to go, i live in an upcoming neighborhood and all the finished units so far have been fitted with brand new solar water heaters. So from the looks of it, as much as i cant explain it in figures, i just know solar water heater is the way to go!

I suppose it depends on the sun, the storage you have, the amount of hot water you use and the insulation. But I don’t think it can be very exclusive if you always will time your heater and be observant in your daily usage!

I sure know solar energy saves finances,however it as well depends on weather patterns.sun is the ultimate decider.
