Default Immigration To Europe

Have you ever given thought of working in Europe or the Americas? It seems a lot of Africans make a lot of money working in Europe for a short time and then coming back a rich man to Kenya. While if you stick working in Kenya, it seems that if your money is barely enough to support you, let alone if you have a family.

Money is usually the primary purpose why people decide to leave their country for supposedly greener pastures. This of course means either the US or Europe where their money is worth much more where they are originally based. But is it really worth it to transplant yourself somewhere to earn big bucks yet you miss out on family and roots?

Sometimes and in most cases, the family and roots to paraphrase you might be in a very sorry state that your very presence will actually cause more harm and misery as compared to you leaving for better opportunities elsewhere.

What is interesting though is that the source of that income might not be as dignified as some people back home may think but I still think that it's worth the effort especially if the money earned from guys working abroad is channeled for investment purposes and not just for fun.

Come to think of it, I do not know of any country that progressed into industrialized status or even improved the lives of most of its citizens by relying on money remitted from its citizens working abroad. The top labor exporting countries like Pakistan and the Philippines are still stuck as a third world country. Meanwhile, countries with citizens that stick it out like Korea, Singapore and Taiwan are newly industrialized nations.
