France and Venezuela already have advised their citizens to have the implants removed, while the UK has said that there is no immediate need.
The implants which were made by PIP, a French company, are said to be containing industrial grade silicone.
An estimated 300,000 of the implants were sold in 65 countries in the last twelve years.
In 2010, France banned them after finding that they contained low-grade industrial silicon gel which is manufacture to be used in mattresses – in place of specialized medical materials.
