A better foundation was set basing on the works Christ did, through his death and resurrection he gained us victory and through this Christians are able to stand by his name.

Christ Jesus had divine power from heaven and His mission had begun when He got baptized and was filled by the Holy Spirit. Through the power of God, he performed miracles for he said that all authority in heaven and on earth has been given unto Him. In this case, no one can go to God the father except through God the son, Jesus Christ.

Christ is the ruler and the King who reign forever in His Father's throne. We have to testify of His authority through spreading His gospel all over the world for people to believe and worship Him forever.
It is true that gifts for best friends express friendship thoughts and emotions.

Jesus is a revelation of God to mankind. He was given all authority in heaven and on earth by God such that whatever we ask from the Father in His name and by faith we receive. He gave us the authority to be called sons and daughters of God just by accepting and believing in Him. Through His suffering and death we got life, healing and salvation. That remains true that He is Lord and comes still very soon to take the righteous home.
