Does Obama being the new elected president change anything?
Some thought he was too young and inexperienced to be the president while others thought his wisdom was amazing and there was no other better candidate. Now with Obama being elected as the first black president do you think it will help end racial discrimination in the world, change the way you see your fellow men black or white, change the way you feel when you referred to as black and you came from Africa?
With the way the whole world was excited am sure it showed how much this affected our life's, for some of my work colleagues they say they get the respect they deserve at work which they didn't get before. So how will these changes of a black president in a super power country affect your life?

Most people will argue for and against Obama's election as the first black american president. What is evident and undeniable though is the fact that it was history in the making and personally I'm glad to be alive to witness this transformation because seriously I never thought that a black man will ever be the president of the United States of America.
What we are not quite sure though is how his presidency will go down in history and how it is going to affect each and everyone of us and for that matter the whole world. If he is wise enough to make good decisions that work at the right time then definitely our lives and the world will be changed. On the contrary, if he fails to govern, then it is going to be very very hard for another black man to ever rise to that seat again.

it doesn't we as Kenyans or Africans should change something, he wont change a thing the only thing he did was to put us on the global map so w should use this opportunity in other wards lets play opportunistic for the time and sing to the tune of the moment otherwise him being a president doesn't make you a vice president or either official you are still the Kenyan you with the Kenya in you.

Change starts with an individual. Obama was elected as the first black person to be the president of USA, but that doesn't mean that all people will change their thoughts about being racists. However, some have changed and view black people as per equal with them and capable. Flash back how Kaye West attacked George Bush about him being a racists. He said Bush didn't care about black people who were affected by Katrina disaster. But Kaye West apologized for making this remarks.

Election of B.Obama as the president of America after George Bush has created great expectation all over the world. He has however, established that he is not a different person, (it can be stated at present) after his recent misadventure in Libya.

True, it created false expectation around American people. He's still the same with the past president. Why can't they solve problems without going to war?

In these first two years, he's just been another man doing his job. Some are happy, some are not. That's how it's always been. I never hear anyone talking about race, even when he makes an unpopular move. I hope that continues.

I really think that no man will ever be able to change the world fully. But I guess Obama getting elected is really a step towards more enlightenment and less hate.
