Question Should you think twice before being a good samaritan?

Good Samaritans have been there long enough but what happens when you help somebody from a death and life situation and they turn back and sue you?

A story emerged recently from the news of co workers who were involved in an accident. One of the co-worker was able to merge out of the wrecked car. The car caught fire and the worker tried to pull out the worker from the car on fire.

After all this the worker sued the co-worker for recklessly pulling her out. I thought this was the most stupid action you could do for somebody who saved your life. The worker claimed she would have waited for the authorities to come and do it professionally do it. Was she serious she probably would have burnt to death the time they got there!

Should you think twice before you helping somebody out or do you think such retarded laws be abolished to protect good Samaritans out there?

I've heard that in some cases, you shouldn't try to move people because it's possible to injure their spines and cause more problems. But in the case of a threat of fire, I think you should try to keep them safe from that.

It's surprising what will prompt some people to sue others.

They have to abolish those crazy laws. After all, a good samaritan never think twice in helping others.

I think it can be a very challenging predicament. The actions that could save a life in the moment may be ruled to have caused spine damage in a court of law. I guess it would be best if people were aware of how to move people but avoid further injuring someone who's already hurt.

I assume that the example mentioned deals with the threat of further spine injury?

Unfortunatley you do have to think twice about being a good samatrian, I remember when I was working in nursing they said that you would have to had consent before doing cpr otherwise you could end up with a lawsuit. I think this was crazy as if you are there to help someone and possibly save their life, how are they supposed to give consent.
It just shows how much we have "evolved" in certain ways, holding things that used to be considered curtious as something that is illegal in some way shape or form.

In a life and death situation I can't think about anything but to save myself and if there's anybody else as long as we can both be saved after my actions. There's the panic when these things happen and probably an adrenaline rush came into action that's why she was pulled recklessly during the accident. She had shown no grattitude to that person who saved her. I don't think she deserves to live lol.

*nods* It's sad to think of this in the fashion that we are in this question, not that its not a good question, it just shows us where we are as society we are there to help and do nothing at the same time, either way we are bound to make someone unhappy, we just have to think of what would we would like to have done if we were in the situation and run with it.
