Default Another Record Broken In 800M Run

David Rudisha has broken another record by being at the finishing line for 1:40:91. Rudisha has delivered yet the second gold medal after Ezekiel Kemboi in a race of 100M for men.

Rudisha’s record breaking heroics came a few seconds after defending women’s 800m Olympic champion Pamela Jelimo and Janeth Jepkosgei qualified for the finals set for Saturday.

The progress at the Olympics stadium in London seems to bring more hope for Kenyans.

Rudisha has really made us proud and we hope that rest will do the same. We are proud of you guys so don't let us down settle for gold and nothing less, wishing you the very best and we are solidly behind you.

I love this man, Rudisha; he makes me feel like I am a proud Kenyan. I mean after the female races we saw back then and how world champion Edna Kiplagat was thrown back to position 20. I am so proud of him and even if it was not me on that field, I really felt so happy. I hope there are more gold medals to come.

Hey, how do you feel about Kenya hosting the Olympic Games in 2024? It was a suggestion made yesterday. Do you think it’s a good idea?

@dacox, I overheard it that Prime Minister Raila wanted to bid hosting the 2024 Olympics and of course that was a good thought. However, I don't think Kenya has an Olympics field suitable for such big session, which by then will be required to look more improvised with technological advancement.

Otherwise, I am for the idea even if it is going to eat much of a third world's resources, yet there are many work-in-progresses.

That’s right. I am for the idea that it be held in Kenya
