Seeking Jesus in Our Lives

Imagine being asked what you want in life. For me I think I'd ask good health, a happier marriage, a better job, financial security etc. But this is not what the two disciples asked for when Jesus asked them what they were looking for- John 1:38-41. The answer given by the disciples showed that they were seeking Jesus himself. It is unfortunate that we miss to spend time with Jesus through praising God and reading the word of God.

Your choice of good health, a complete and happy marriage and financially being stable, are just but worldly desires every heart would wish to achieve, and not you alone,but consider the choice of the disciples , this is an everlasting desire, and even rewarding eternal life, it is therefore upon one to decide.

It is funny at times about what we desire in life but again it's a pity for all these shall we leave on earth as the Lord comes for us. We ask for riches, fame, a good family and such beautiful possessions but forget to ask Jesus into our lives. We never bother to ask for God's favour up on us or even that He show us the way to Him and that He lead us through the turmoil we face. We shall all perish unless we seek to have Jesus.
