Unexpected Disaster Ecclesiastes 9:12

Classy forecasting devices warn us when storms move into our area. Efforts are continually made to improve the equipment and techniques so we can receive even more accurate information. Long gone are the days of looking at the sky Now it is done by Doppler radar and satellite images beamed from high above the earth. We like to be forewarned, especially of impending disasters. Yet in spite of all the technological advances, we still sometimes get caught unawares.

Sometimes we are like fish, unaware of the net that is in the water until we hit it, or like birds, not realizing that a snare has been set for our capture. Unexpectedly, we are caught by what was unpredictable.

In his wisdom, Solomon said that we are like the fish or the bird ensnared without warning by disaster and therefore we should be prepared.

God does not give us a pass to avoid all difficulties. Nor does He give us advance warning of every challenge that lies ahead. He does let us know that in this life we will have problems. That does not sound like much encouragement until you remember that whatever comes, He will be with us. God does not keep us from all difficulties, but He does stay with us and sees us through them.

Face the future with realistic confidence. Whatever comes, God will be with you.

Not everything that God will direct us to do; sometimes He needs our understanding on what the spirit predicts. Living in Him faithfully will help you overcome what you never expected to come into your life. You ought to be always ready to overcome evil since Satan feels bad when He sees God's people prospering; he must test them to win them!

God will never let His own be tempted or challenged beyond his/her capability to repulsion. He is always there for us and so no one or nothing can stand against us. The turmoil we face is a test to our faith. No weapon forged against us shall prevail!

No one knows the hour or the day when he will come. The hour of judgment is near and everyone will be held accountable for their deeds here on earth. They will be made to explain what they did with their God given talents. Do not get trapped in the evils of the world. No one is perfect; no one has the right to judge others. We need to take advantage of the grace period to get closer to God and repent all our sins.

Let us not judge others but let us learn from them what they're going through. Judging them will not make them better but helping them to overcome what they are currently going through will make them better. Surely, we cannot fully understand how God works, we only observe and realize that truly God does exist. We may expect him to be there while faced with unpleasant situations but then we may end up concluding wrongly that God is not there for us during such moments.

We should realize that God is always there and it is upon us to fight the temptations/unpleasant situations by remaining strong in our faith. We should be aware that God's people suffered a lot but God was with them always. For instance Jesus the only son of God was rejected by authorities and even crucified and this didn't mean that God was not with him. He was there and God knew what Jesus was going through. Out of the unpleasant situations we go through God shows to us his glory and the purpose He created us for.
