King David at His Old Age

In his old and last days, David was weak and felt no warmth even after covering himself with beddings. He therefore was presented a pretty woman by the name Abishag. What role did she have to play in David’s life?

Old is gold and king David aged gracefully. It is common with the old people to feel cold even if they covered themselves with the heaviest beddings. In my own opinion l think the role of the pretty woman was to warm his bed, she was not supposed to make love to him or anything of that sort.
