Default Did God Do Away With the Curse in Genesis 3:17?

After the fall of man in the Garden of Eden, God cursed the ground (Genesis 3:17) as one of the consequences of disobeying Him. After the flood, God promised not to curse the ground again for the sake of people (Genesis 8:21). So, did God do away with the curse in Genesis 3:17?

Not at all. This covenant does not remove the curse that is already on the ground, it is just a promise God promised not to add to that curse. Let the Bible never bring contradiction to us because of our understanding and know that as long as we live in this sinful world, there is and there will be different consequences that never happened upon us.
It is true that gifts for best friends express friendship thoughts and emotions.

If He removed it, why then do we have to till the land and sow seeds in order to harvest something to eat?

I don’t think so. God in Genesis 3:1 says

Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat food from it all the days of your life.
Underline all the days of your life. That’s why we all work in search of our daily bread. That’s why there is no Garden of Eden for us to go and pick fruits from.

In Genesis 8:21, if you read through the whole story of Noah, you will see God’s reason not to want to curse the ground ever again. He has reason not to destroy the world again because of man’s inequities. So it’s only right for us to read the bible in detail before we make our conclusions.

I second you dacox. It is very risky to read bible verses in bits because one is not able to comprehend the significance of a story or quote in the bible.
