Is instinct an iphone killer?

Is instinct an iphone killer? When cingular came up with the iphone almost everybody subscribed service with them. Some people even paid off their existing contracts and paid all the extra money to terminate the contract. In the name of using the coolest phone ever.

Cingular made a gold mine especially with the teenagers who could not afford to miss out on the latest technology. The iphone costs a fortune leave alone the service is more expensive compared to the “normal” phones.

Months later Sprint Nextel came up with a Samsung instinct which said to have been an Iphone killer. How true is this, Very true. According to research the same people that had moved to Cingular started to migrate to Sprint Nextel.

Instinct was much more affordable and the services were the same as normal phones. Three months after the introduction of Samsung instinct in the market if you order one you have to wait for two weeks. Imagine waiting for a phone for two weeks because the subscription is overwhelming.

Cingular had to deal with this stiff competition by introducing a new iphone. What more can a newer iphone have that the old doesn’t have? Beats me both of those phones posses all the features you can require while being locomotive and more.

These phones have gone to the extent of replacing computers, iPods and play stations. These phones have guitar hero in them. We wait and see what more comes up to top up the competition because I have no idea what feature is missing in already made phones?

The Samsung Instinct provides decent competition to the Apple Iphone. However, its call and video quality is erratic and it does not even hav wi-fi. However, this is the best alternative to iphones.

Until the debate on wether cell phones cause cancer or not is settled I will not be using any of them. Plus The only thing I need a phone for is to talk on. I don't need that baby computer that the Iphone is. If I want a computer I'll buy a laptop.

i still think that iphone has pretty much cornered the market. they created a phone with features that one else could offer, and because of that, they created a strong following of customers.

Instinct is truly giving apple iphone a run for their money the phone has very outside features and maintainance is cheap. Cingular also demands alot of money for deposit to have an account with them. Why should i pay a deposit when i can just go to Sprint and get a phone

I don't use any of those phones but from what I have read around and heard people talking regarding the two phones, it's clear that Samsung instinct is still not an iphone killer.

First of all, if Samsung was serious and really wanted to give apple a run for its money, then at least they would have been decent enough not to borrow its phones look and feel from the iphone playbook.

Secondly, bear in mind also that apple iphone has a growing number of software platforms that will soon put it on the category of Smartphone like the BlackBerry - whereas the instinct phone is way back, lacking on such a platform and currently cannot be thought to be on the category of smart phones.

Finally to be plain fair, Samsung instinct phone is one of the best phones with unique features that I have seen so far.

In order for the instinct phone to be an instinct killer, I seriously think that they needed to do better that that and instead of borrowing iPhone UI heavily - just enough not to be sued – come on now, come up with something more unique!
