Default What is wrong with politics and politicians?

I am just fed up with the way African politicians carry politics. They just can’t focus on developments, instead they focus on how they can embezzle funds to enrich themselves and their family members. Why is it that it is only African leaders who refuse to let leadership go once they are defeated in elections? As a matter of fact Gbagbo should hand over power.

It is deeply rooted in the African mind. The circumstances that surround us let us grow into full beings with the same old ideas, but it is time we all rose and get determined and fight with zeal so as to rise to greatness.

I don’t think politics will ever tell citizens the truth instead; they use good quality and influencing languages of undertakes that are not fulfilled to take into custody and convince feeble citizens. What now the world is up to, is to use their entire brains to make themselves well-about other than depending on the promised resources.

We are exhausted with politicians and what they promise populace. Is high time we raise up and tell them the truth that we don’t want to listen lies but needs development and peace in the world.

the issue of time wasting is fully planted in the African countries, greed to stick in leadership and continue embezzling funds is deep in the hearts of the politicians, Africa has no leader but has politicians, unlike other continents that have leaders.

When elections approach politicians move here and there trying to seduce citizens with money and other enticements, giving false promises, their focus being to get into the seat or call it a position.

After the win (it is possible that through genuine or false means a leaders go back to power for another term) they disappear to big cities to escape citizens' grievances and issues. They preach water and drink wine! They don't do as they say.

Within the in-power period they make efforts of enriching themselves with more investments. They forget the power granters and think about what they already have.

You can second me that unless Africans take a turn from the current system of politics, there will be more wars and scandals regarding politics and politicians.

I think if we have to change the current system of politics, we should vote in new members to parliament and do away with the current politicians.

A member of goodwill can be elected to parliament, he/she will be willing to do what he/she promised, but little by little the person is infected with the system and eventually forgets everything h/she promised.

So, we better stand together and fight for the members that we want.

Who are this new members we are sending to parliament? As I have grown up, in every election time I here of change. Then after the term is over the same song goes around. I have heard the same names of politicians all these years; if they are not the same people it turns out to be their sons. This is the reason as to why it appears hard for us to stop it. Until we ourselves wake up to know that the time leadership was something that could be inherited is outdated, things remain the same.

I don't want to elaborate how old monkeys shift to new forests during the year of election. I am glad that voters are well informed about this.

Though they (voters) are now informed of their tricks, we still are under the nepotism reign whereby a tribe wants to retain their leader in power no matter his/her performance. Unless we change this perspective, politics will be more dirty and meaningless.

Being a leader is different from being a politician, leaders led people to a predefined destiny. Politicians tend to enter into politics to satisfy their greed ambition which is to attain power and wealth, politics is a dirty game and whoever is involved in it plays dirty. African has a continent doesn’t have leaders we once had them but wherever they disappeared to we can’t tell. All we have in Africa is greed politicians and dirty politics.
