Default If you were to start all over again, would you still migrate abroad?

The first time round, most people fight for and are excited to migrate abroad for the sake and need of "search for greener pasture."

Now that you have arrived, been around for quite a while and have seen it all, if you were to be taken back in history and were to start all over again - given all the experience you have now acquired of living and working abroad:

If you were to start all over again way back home, would you still fight for with passion and dream of - to migrate abroad as you did before?

I have not yet immigrated abroad to "greener pastures" but I am sometimes jealous of some friends who worked abroad for a few years and came back to kenya to showcase their wealth. They are able to buy their parents huge mansions in the countryside and buy their sons and daughters anything they want.

I did not actually migrate abroad. However, I worked for a few years in the Middle East in search of a better life for my family. After a few years there, I came back to work in Nairobi because I can not bear seing my wife and children only once a year. My income in Nairobi may be meager but at least we are happy together as a real family.

I would like to fly over again which country i left. because i like struggle. Life is full of struggle so if you can do well you will win if you do bad you will loose. but i wont get hopeless untill my last try. so i would not afraid of my surviving life of abroad. Or if i would not survive there so why should i leave that place. Another thing i am not home sick.. :P

    Thumbs up

So many times I have used the words I wish I knew especially on my first months of arriving in this foreign country. The hardship and struggles were up to a place I felt I just wanted to walk out of this place go back home a loser and close this chapter in my life. But now that I have matured in all ways especially the way I handle situations and take things really changed a lot.

I have gotten the chance to meet people I would not have met if I never migrated, they have given me chances to be something that most people my age would kill to be in my position. I left home a kid who just finished high school and never worked a day in my life but the foreign land made me a grown up and responsible adult. After all I realized 10% of life is what it is but 90% is what you make of it. So that answers the question if I would start it all over again,I would still migrate abroad.

It all depends on the reason for migrating abroad.
for someone who has been comfortable at home and then suddenly decides to migrate in search of greener pastures, then such people may end up disappointed because while around here, they were already in greener pastures but greed sometimes make us do things without thinking.

I have never traveled abroad but I do not think I would like to go back to my country if I would be making lots of money in the new country.

I did not seek for greener pastures when I was younger, but I wish that I did, now that I am about to retire. I wasted so many opportunities then, which I regret now.
