Respecting Others Opinions

Actually, The way I see it: you have your opinion that you are entitled to. I have mine that I am entitled to. We don't have to quarrel. I may not respect your opinion or agree with it, but I respect you as a human being, it will be good if I would appreciate it greatly if you could extend the same courtesy to me.

Around here, I have seen many groups that I don't agree with. Groups about not believing in God, sharing your wife, disliking conservatives, using adult diapers for fun...

But the one thing I do not do is go into those groups and attack. I simply ignore them. I don’t' read the stories, I don't do anything. It is everyone's right to have their own opinion. I like the way that everyone is allowed to show who they really are here. I don't feel the need to bully those people for expressing themselves, it's unfair.

Do you there is need to respect everyone’s opinion?

Agree or not other people’s opinions are theirs, as much as everyone thinks that they are the best in certain thing or activities they rely on some specific facts. If you just think they are wrong and not able to help just respect them and leave to do what they know is correct.

There is need to respect everyone’s opinion for we are free to share our mind here. But then, if you do not agree to one’s point, you can object it positively and try to make the other person see what he/she is lacking to make his point helpful.

Through opinions people express their views. Not all opinions are good because there are those that are misleading. When our opinion differs from those aired by others it shouldn't cause hatred. There are people who don't welcome opinions which differ from theirs; they always perceive themselves to be right. Such people never accept a change as they'll want to stick to traditional ways.

Both of you may/may not be right and therefore it calls for both of you to respect either's opinion for it may be useful to you. It also shows appreciation and the other party will be confident to give their opinion if need be. Respect is vital to us all for it enables us to have healthy social/mutual relationships.

It’s important to understand the difference: in one case you ‘respect’ the opinion itself and in another can you ‘respect’ the other person’s ‘right to hold and or express’ that opinion – where respect means ‘appreciative feeling’. Let’s take these two cases one by one.

Absolutely, why would you want anyone to respect your opinion if you can’t respect theirs? Alternatively, you can listen to what they say, pick sense from it, and leave out nonsense.

What you may expect from someone is what they may also expect from you! I think it is perfectly natural to have differing views and it is really interesting to hear others point of view especially on topics that are close to your heart. I understand certain opionions can make your blood boil and you may want to have an opionion on that but at least making an intelligent one serves a big dignity to both parties!

Respect is not given it is earned and if you want to earn it back then you should start by respecting others.

At times we may feel our opinions are the best ,however,that is dictated with how we are socialized.Our upbringing counts and there is need to understand that we are brought up by different parents hence the need to respect each other views.We don't need to agree but also we don't need to disagree to agree.
