After high school one feels more mature and independent in handling life. At this age one is considered an adult. After joining campus life seems to take a different course. In most cases, out of campus partners are dropped and replaced by the in campus or are double dealt with. . Life is sweet with all that freedom, with no parent to blurt at you for going out with your boyfriend or coming home late.

It is not that simple; the truth is that campus dating is to a greater extent a broad cheat. People’s time and life is wasted for those who are not careful and with the excitement of being in college.

Parents warn their children as they join campus to curb their curiosity of campus life for they believe campus dating does much with irresponsible sex and flirting around and less with attention to learning, which is somehow true. In campus is where most get unwanted pregnancies, STIs, drug addiction and all sorts of swag. However, the careful and principled go through campus successfully.

There are some things campus students need to take into consideration is at all campus dating should be. It is true that one can find a right life partner in campus since for the little time spent together, a keen person will be able to scrutinize the character of a potential partner.

Campus guys and even lectures lure female students, especially the greenhorns with fun as in outings, money and other goodies. This entices them that they fall into the trap easily. The fact is that most guys are hit-and-runners—they are after tasting a variety of the pretty ladies there.

As much as dating can seem a must do, dating someone from the same class is no reputable. Be sure to be played for one wants to make sure that all the close people know that you’re dating, therefore dating another may put you at risk. It is worse when one, especially the lady, performs better and everyone else knows that. Dating your lecturer is as well something you need to think twice of. S/he is married and most likely will only use and dump you.

It is more advisable to date outside campus and this way you keep clean your reputation amongst students, or if you must do, make sure you do not double or multi deal since all men will realize and aim at sexing with you as they go their way. Prostitution is a major practice in campus and if you are not careful you will easily be victimized by the people you befriend.

Another issue is dating your friend’s ex. You however will if only you consult your friend and be sure that nothing is left between them and that s/he is okay with it, otherwise you don’t need to. Avoid indulging in sex within the campus for you may end up being frustrated after the dump!

A common mistake done by most daters is that of moving in with a man or woman you met with in campus within a short period. Take your time and see if the person remains himself/herself, be it in or out of campus. Some guys marry in campus just for sexual reasons and immediately they finish their courses they abandon their ‘wives’.

Make sure your dating affairs do not affect your studies anyway, because that is the key reason as to why you are in school. Even the one you date will run away from you if s/he realizes you are not serious with books. After all, who needs a shallow thinker and a joker?

One needs to take extra care when dating while in campus since it is unpredictable, Hold on to your moral values and don't follow the crowd just because you are in campus. Be yourself and remain focused remember you went there to study and pursue your goals, if an accident can occur and you find yourself falling in love then good. Accidents at times do occur for a reason, don't engage yourself in some sort of illegal activities to earn yourself an extra coin, that coin will only help in destroying you. Be careful on how you go about dating in campus.
