Criminals Destroy Ancient Headstones At World Heritage Church

Criminals swinging sledgehammers have destroyed ancient gravestones at a World Heritage church in an appalling gaffe as tourists watched in horror the stones smash it into pieces.

The shocking destruction of the historic headstones was apparently authorized by a group set up to protect the church grounds. The stones had stood along railings in a park at St Aflege church.

This wanton destruction was a terrible tragedy. The remains are only a few stumps, like broken teeth and the ghost impressions left behind on the brick wall. The destroyed the headstones that were used to prevent vandalism and damage from overgrown weeds.

The London Probation Trust confirmed a Community Payback team had been clearing the church ground.

This is indeed wrong to even attack the house of God and destroy what is there.We should remember such people in our prayers so that they may change once in their life.

The damage is already done and no way will they be able to reverse it. They maybe should construct it again though it is an inconvenience but no otherwise.

They should reconstruct it because it was an historical feature, something needs to be done to keep the history going. There is no way of revising what has been done.
