Is it Wrong for Catholic Church to Ordain Married Men?

It has been reported that Yesterday, Harm Klueting, a married father of two received an exemption to priestly celibacy from Pope Benedict XVI and as a result, he was ordained as priest by the Catholic Church of Germany.

According to the Diocese of Cologne, the ordained priest who happens to be a theologian and former Protestant pastor will not have to stick to the Church’s celibacy law for the duration in his marriage.

His ordination comes while theologians and Catholic politicians in Germany have pushed the Vatican to end priestly celibacy and the German church struggles to overcome a wave of clerical sex abuse scandals and priest shortages.

I can’t believe this! I have known since childhood that a priest never marries but is married to Christ. Sadly, these priests end up indulging in sexual activities which is against their doctrines. It has made many to avoid priesthood for they feel they are deprived of the right to love and sex. Some even have private families which they take care of. There is no need of being a hypocrite.

I think that is better now and am sure the news have been received with great acclaim though some may take it as an abomination or curse to their religion. Paul never said that preachers not marry, he said that if a man feels he cannot be able to leave without a woman he get married to one and stick to her alone, that is for the matter of curbing fornication. It is staying without and that is it! Not having secret affairs with women and which is more dangerous.

Celibacy is taking another path now,especially to such churches, many cases are handled concerning such matters. let the scripture be understood well and worked upon correctly.
