Three women belonging to punk band Pussy Riot have been found guilty days after performing a protest song in a cathedral at Moscow. According to Judge Marina Syrova, the women were motivated by religious hatred.

The women said that were disappointed by the support given to President Vladimir Putin by Orthodox Church leaders. They are likely to face three years behind bars after they were found guilty of hooliganism.

I think it’s high time our musicians became more cautious with what they sing. The other day some musicians were charged with hate speech after performing songs which were among the best sales; and now this? Well, too bad. That will teach them to be more cautious and stop using their talent to attack.

They need to be conscious of what they are singing or face the law which l think is a shame to their personalities and their fans as well.

That is what it takes to use freedom of expression wrongly. Let them stand it for they called it for themselves.
